Have you ever seen a two-colored lobster – black and orange – divided sharply down the middle of its shell? A fisherman has pulled out one exactly like this off the Boston coast.

The creepy crustacean, colored perfectly to match Halloween, was caught last week.

According to the New England Aquarium, which received the unusual crayfish, the 1-pound female lobster has two different colors on the opposite sides of its body – an orange side and a black side. The colors split perfectly down the middle.

This is not the first time such unusual and disturbing coloration has been detected. These lobsters, dubbed "splits" for their shell coloring, have been caught in Maine, Rhode Island and Nova Scotia in the last 10 years, Aquarium officials said.

According to the local marine authority, such colorings occur in one in every 50 million lobsters, making it a very rare phenomenon.
